Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 8, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Deb Spair Golf ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information you provide when you visit debspair.golf (the "Site") or engage Deb Spair for golf instruction services. Deb Spair Golf is a sole proprietorship operating in the Cape Fear region of North Carolina.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly. When you contact Deb through the Site, book a lesson, or purchase a gift card, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, and any details you choose to share about your golf experience or scheduling preferences.

Payment information. Gift card purchases and lesson payments are processed by third-party payment processors (such as Stripe, through GoDaddy's commerce platform). We do not store your full credit or debit card numbers on our Site. We may retain transaction records (date, amount, last four digits, and recipient name) for accounting and customer service purposes.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, the Site automatically collects standard log data through GoDaddy's hosting platform, including your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, pages viewed, and timestamps. The Site uses cookies to enable basic functionality and remember your preferences.

reCAPTCHA. Our contact form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which collects hardware and software information (such as device data, browser data, and IP address) to distinguish humans from bots. Use of reCAPTCHA is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Lesson information. If you take lessons with Deb, she may keep notes on your goals, swing characteristics, progress, and scheduling. This information is used solely to serve you as a student and is not shared externally except as described below.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and schedule lessons;
  • Process gift card and lesson payments;
  • Communicate with you about appointments, rescheduling, weather cancellations, and follow-ups;
  • Improve your instruction experience and tailor lesson plans;
  • Maintain records required for tax, accounting, and legal compliance;
  • Protect the Site against fraud and abuse.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your information for third-party advertising.

3. How We Share Information

We share information only with parties who help us operate the business, and only to the extent necessary:

  • Hosting and website services: GoDaddy, which hosts the Site and processes form submissions.
  • Payment processors: Stripe and any other processors used through GoDaddy's commerce tools.
  • Bot protection: Google reCAPTCHA.
  • Email and scheduling tools: Standard email providers used to communicate with students.
  • Legal compliance: When required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights, students, or others.

4. Cookies

The Site uses cookies for essential functionality (such as remembering that you've accepted the cookie banner) and basic analytics provided by the GoDaddy platform. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features of the Site may not work correctly without them.

5. Children and Junior Golfers

Deb teaches junior golfers, and we welcome young players. The Site itself is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the Site. If you are a parent or guardian inquiring about lessons for your child, please make the inquiry yourself rather than having your child submit the form.

For students under 18, a parent or legal guardian must consent to lessons, payment, and any photo or video recording. We will direct lesson-related communications (scheduling, billing, progress) to the parent or guardian unless they instruct otherwise.

6. Photos and Video

Video recording is a routine part of golf instruction. With your consent (or, for minors, the consent of a parent or guardian), Deb may record your swing for instructional purposes. These recordings are kept private and are not posted publicly without separate, specific permission from you (or the parent or guardian).

7. Data Retention

We keep contact and lesson records for as long as you are an active student, plus a reasonable period afterward (generally up to seven years) to satisfy tax and accounting obligations. You may request deletion of your contact information at any time by emailing Deb directly.

8. Data Security

We rely on the security infrastructure of GoDaddy, Stripe, and Google for the parts of the Site they each operate. While no online service is perfectly secure, we take reasonable steps to protect the limited information we hold and we do not store payment card numbers ourselves.

9. Your Choices and Rights

You may:

  • Ask what information we have about you;
  • Request correction of inaccurate information;
  • Request deletion of your information (subject to legal record-keeping obligations);
  • Unsubscribe from any non-essential communications.

To exercise any of these rights, contact Deb at the email address below. Residents of states with specific privacy rights (such as California, Virginia, or Colorado) may have additional rights under applicable law and may exercise them through the same contact method.

10. Third-Party Links

The Site may include links to third-party services (such as gift card purchase pages or social media). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those services. Please review their policies separately.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.

Terms and Conditions

Last updated: May 8, 2026

These Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") govern your use of debspair.golf (the "Site") and any golf instruction services, gift cards, or related products provided by Deb Spair Golf ("Deb," "we," "us," or "our"). By using the Site, booking a lesson, or purchasing a gift card, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or our services.

1. About Us

Deb Spair Golf is a sole proprietorship operated by Deb Spair, a PGA Teaching Professional, based in the Cape Fear region of North Carolina. Deb teaches at select locations throughout the region; specific lesson facilities will be confirmed at booking.

2. Use of the Site

You may use the Site for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:

  • Submit false or misleading information through the contact form;
  • Attempt to interfere with the Site's operation or security;
  • Use the Site to transmit spam, malware, or unsolicited advertising;
  • Copy, scrape, or republish content from the Site without permission.

3. Lesson Bookings

Lesson inquiries submitted through the Site are requests, not confirmed appointments. A lesson is confirmed only when Deb (or her authorized representative) responds and the time, location, and price are agreed in writing (email or text is sufficient).

Lesson rates and package pricing are quoted at the time of booking and may change without notice for future bookings. Pricing already confirmed for an upcoming lesson will be honored.

4. Payment

Payment for lessons is due at or before the lesson, unless otherwise agreed. Payments may be processed through GoDaddy's commerce platform, Stripe, or other methods Deb makes available. By providing payment information, you authorize the charge for the agreed amount.

5. Cancellation, Rescheduling, and No-Shows

Cancellation by student. Please provide at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a lesson without charge. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may be charged the full lesson rate at Deb's discretion. No-shows are charged in full.

Cancellation by Deb. If Deb needs to cancel for any reason (illness, scheduling conflict, etc.), you will be offered a reschedule at no additional cost or, where applicable, a full refund of any prepaid lesson fee.

Weather. Outdoor lessons may be canceled or moved indoors due to lightning, heavy rain, extreme heat, or unsafe conditions. Weather cancellations made by Deb are rescheduled at no additional charge. If you choose to cancel for weather reasons but conditions are playable, the standard 24-hour cancellation policy applies.

6. Gift Cards

Gift cards purchased through the Site are subject to the following terms:

  • Gift cards are valid for one (1) year from the date of purchase unless a different period is stated at purchase or required by North Carolina law.
  • Gift cards are non-refundable and non-transferable for cash, except where required by law.
  • Gift cards may be redeemed only for golf instruction services provided by Deb Spair.
  • Lost, stolen, or expired gift cards will not be replaced unless required by law.
  • If the recipient cannot redeem the gift card due to relocation or other circumstances, please contact Deb to discuss options.

7. Junior Students and Parental Consent

For students under 18, a parent or legal guardian must:

  • Book and pay for the lessons;
  • Be present or reachable during lessons (the requirement varies by student age and lesson location);
  • Consent in advance to any video recording used for instruction;
  • Provide accurate medical or physical information that may affect the student's ability to participate safely.

8. Assumption of Risk and Liability

Golf involves inherent physical risks, including but not limited to muscle strain, falls, and injury from golf balls or clubs. By participating in lessons, you acknowledge these risks and agree that you are participating voluntarily. You are responsible for disclosing any medical conditions, injuries, or physical limitations that could affect your participation.

To the fullest extent permitted by North Carolina law, Deb Spair Golf and Deb Spair personally are not liable for injuries, losses, or damages arising from participation in lessons, except where caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct. You are responsible for your own equipment and personal property at lesson locations.

Lesson facilities are independently owned and operated. Deb does not control facility conditions, and any claims related to facility safety should be directed to the facility operator.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site — including text, images, the Deb Spair name, and any lesson materials, drills, or videos provided to students — is the property of Deb Spair Golf or used with permission. You may not reproduce, distribute, or republish Site content without prior written consent. Personal use of lesson videos for your own practice is permitted; public posting of those videos is not permitted without Deb's permission.

10. Photos and Video

Deb may record video of your swing as part of instruction. These recordings remain private and are not used for marketing without your separate, specific consent (or the consent of a parent or guardian for minors). You agree not to record Deb's instruction, drills, or proprietary teaching content for redistribution without permission.

11. Third-Party Services

The Site uses third-party services including GoDaddy (hosting and commerce), Stripe (payment processing), and Google reCAPTCHA (bot protection). Your use of those services is also subject to their respective terms. We are not responsible for the availability or performance of third-party services.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site and our services are provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the Site's uptime, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose, except as required by law. Golf instruction outcomes vary by student; we do not guarantee specific score, swing, or competitive results.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the total liability of Deb Spair Golf for any claim arising out of or relating to the Site, lessons, or gift cards will not exceed the amount you paid to Deb Spair Golf in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Deb Spair Golf and Deb Spair from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Site or services.

15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms, the Site, or our services will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New Hanover County, North Carolina, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

Before filing any formal claim, you agree to first contact Deb in good faith to attempt to resolve the dispute informally.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date will reflect any changes. Continued use of the Site or our services after an update means you accept the revised Terms. Material changes that affect existing students (such as significant pricing or policy changes) will be communicated directly where reasonably possible.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
